Nimona and how our nearest nodes enable us…for good and bad

I am what one now calls a technical writer which is to say I work with people who do things like math and science (including social science because, ultimately, isn’t every technical product aimed at engineering the humans who access it? For now anyways…soon Alexa, Google, and Siri will turn on each other and it will be #endgame for us primates….but I digress…)

I am myself what many of my research clients (and my spouse) casually call a PEBCAK — Problem Exists Between Chair and Keyboard.

Apparently, for my hubby and cohort, the singularity can’t come fast enough.

But that is why I am a perfect interlocutor between academics’ whiz kid ideas and the dumb donors and petty politicians who are a necessary barrier that many brilliant researchers must traverse to implement their plans for world peace or world domination, depending.

Researchers are a mixed bag.

The Beforetimes (aka the 80s).

I say ‘what they call a technical writer now’ because I was born a long time ago in a conservative rural town. Technical writers did not exist.
