I think this approach, embraced (and thus hopefully at some point offered more widely) would be nice. It reminds me of when the mines were shut down when I was a kid. A lot of the anger, too frequently misdirected for lack of better examples or outlets, was grief. Like vets coming back from war almost, finding purpose (and money to live) was hard. You are fortunate. I wish more people were.
