For Liz Lemon, I don't think she is necessarily a villain (as posited in the youtube) so much as an anti-hero. I thought a little about that Bible verse: Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. (Wise is sometimes translated as 'shrewd.') I think this relates to women being more savvy on their tradeoffs when they look at relationships in the modern world.
